Roof Repair in Norfolk
Challenge
Customer had a leak coming in near rake edge, and also had pointed out another water spot on the ceiling near the back room addition.
Solution
We went out and removed shingles in the first area to replace the damaged wood. During inspection we had found that shingles had come unsealed and had some damage due to a tree limb that had been rubbing onto the roof. The second spot where the customer had pointed to a water stain between the addition and main house we had to pull up shingles as nothing was visible from the surface. In the area there was a furnace stack and also a nearby pipe collar. We pulled up shingles around both and also where the pitch changed. There was water getting in at the pipe collar, after furth inspection of the collar there were small cracks near the seal on the pipe that hadn't gotten to be visible until close inspection.
