This couple just recently purchased this home as a fixer upper. The back porch addition there was major leaking coming from the skylight and also into the wall between the home and addition. Once we were able to inspect it, the flashing around the skylight had be installed improperly as well as the apron flashing. The valley also had experienced leaking from no ice and water being laid there. We replaced the entire porch roof and also through the valley adjacent to it. New wood to areas which had water damage, and added ice and water around the skylight and in the valley. The apron flashing was replaced and a new skylight with a flash kit was installed to prevent future leaking.

During our recent project, we removed the vinyl siding from the home. It was a ranch-style home finished with vinyl siding and wood trim. We were there to replace the siding, and windows, and wrap all trim. Underneath the original vinyl siding, we found cedar plank siding which ran all the way up underneath the existing trim boards. We spoke with the homeowner and did want to bring everything down to the sheathing. The main challenge with the tear-off was the trim boards being nailed directly into the siding. We originally wanted to keep the extra wood to a minimum so carefully removed all the trim boards from the siding first to potentially reuse them. The next issue we ran into was after preparing to install the insulated siding boards we noticed that the existing fascia and rake boards would not even extend the full depth of the siding. The house did have to switch over to 2x6 trim boards which we installed new and wrapped. 

The homeowners were looking to have the original screened-in porch changed. They have been a longtime friend of Premier roofing and siding as their daughter played softball for the company founders Jeff & Pam. The homeowners wanted to switch the existing screen areas to a closed-in patio. After viewing the property, it was agreed upon that we would build a new knee wall and install windows in the new openings. Our head installer Karl and his crew began the project in March of 2022. New framing for the knee wall and the windows had to be created. Once the framing was up they sheathed both the interior and exterior of the kneewall. New shake siding was installed on both the inside of the patio and the exterior. A new storm door was installed, and all trim was wrapped. Since completion, the homeowner has reached out to us to look at replacing the existing siding on the rest of the home to have an exact match to the new shake around the patio.
